Stephen Kinsella promoted to HAC acquisition chief

Stephen Kinsella has been promoted from Maintenance Repair and Operations section chief to chief of the Acquisition Operations Branch in the Heartland Acquisition Center. In this position he leads a team who works to provide supplies to civilian and military customers as accurately and efficiently as possible.

What do you look forward to most about this opportunity?
Our ability to scale and improve customer offerings is many times more than it was just a few years ago due to our access to new technologies. I'm excited to fully leverage those in this role. 

How do you think your previous experience has prepared you for the new role?
Tyler Sikes and I designed a bot to process orders automatically, and that's saved a lot of time and effort. I think we're ready to leverage that automation to now scale up the number of items we can offer and further improve the customer experience.

Anything else you’d like to share?
When I came in as an intern back in 2008, Denise Elsbernd (our director at the time) had this tag line on emails that said something like "GSA - You can do that here." That's just as true now as it ever was! We're not limited by our position descriptions.
