Commercial Satellite Communications Solutions (SIN 517410) connects agencies with leased satellite bandwidth, subscription and managed services, service-enabling terminals and equipment, and the engineering and operations needed to deliver them through one Best-in-Class special item number.
Whether you need a single capability or a complete managed service, COMSATCOM gives you access to qualified contractors supporting fixed and mobile missions worldwide across commercially available frequency bands:
Supporting capabilities may include terminals, phones, modems, teleports, terrestrial interfaces, network monitoring, engineering, integration, operations, interoperability, optimization, and interference identification and geolocation.
Equipment limitation: Standalone equipment is generally purchased through an applicable MAS hardware SIN unless included in the subscription-service price.
International requirements: Additional charges may apply when a foreign country requires local approvals or licenses to operate the satellite service.

Current contract holders can submit a modification to add the COMSATCOM SIN using the checklist below. It is intended to help you submit complete and accurate modification requests as required by the Solicitation, which contains the provisions and clauses referenced below.
Contact your contracting officer and review requirements before starting the modification process
Prepare three categories of required documentation: Administrative Documents, Technical Documentation, and Pricing Documentation.
Upload all required documentation to the eOffer/eMod system. Verify all documentation is complete and accurate before submitting your final request.

Rates for foreign countries are set by the Department of State.

When a military installation or Government - related facility(whether or not specifically named) is located partially within more than one city or county boundary, the applicable per diem rate for the entire installation or facility is the higher of the rates which apply to the cities and / or counties, even though part(s) of such activities may be located outside the defined per diem locality.
