GSA Names Raylene Yung Technology Modernization Fund Executive Director
WASHINGTON -- Today, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced the appointment of Raylene Yung as Technology Modernization Fund Executive Director. Yung will oversee the Technology Modernization Fund (TMF) Program Management Office, authorized by the Modernizing Government Technology Act of 2017 to give agencies additional ways to deliver services to the American public more quickly, better secure sensitive systems and data, and use taxpayer dollars more efficiently.
Yung comes to the agency with more than ten years of technology experience, having worked in the private sector, government, and for non-profit organizations. As a member of the Biden-Harris Transition team, she identified key policy priorities for the Administration with a critical technical focus.
Previously, Yung served as the co-founder and CEO of the U.S. Digital Response, a nonpartisan, nonprofit initiative created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has provided support in areas such as vaccination equity, unemployment insurance, housing security, and food access. Yung is a graduate of Stanford University and served as a tech policy fellow at the Aspen Institute.
