Workplace Innovation Lab
Located in GSA headquarters at 1800 F Street NW, Washington, D.C., the Workplace Innovation Lab tests the latest innovations in office design, furniture, and technology to meet the needs of today’s hybrid federal workers.
The first iteration of the lab closed down effective June 30, 2024, as we transition to the next, permanent Workplace Innovation Lab. This new fully dedicated space will incorporate the lessons learned and experiences from the initial lab, as well as provide a wide range of collaboration neighborhoods for client agencies to explore.
While our team builds out this new space, we are pleased to continue offering federal coworking at our headquarters. Please contact your customer liaison or email us at WILConcierge@gsa.gov to learn more.
Envisioning a new federal workspace
GSA’s Workplace Innovation Lab offers a variety of workspaces, collaboration spaces, and conference rooms—all in a federal building equipped with an access control system and on-site security personnel.
The lab lets agencies and teams test new technology and furniture options before purchasing. Technology includes products that enhance your employees’ hybrid experience, promote health and wellness, and support the federal government’s commitment toward a net zero carbon emissions operation.
“Cannot wait to sell this broadly to teams—what a great benefit!”
