Alburg Springs Land Port of Entry, Vermont
The project will fully renovate the interior of the historic building to help meet the mission of Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The renovations will include, but are not limited to, full interior renovation, updated mechanical, electrical and plumbing utilities. The exterior of the building will include minor site work, a new bullet rated officer inspection booth, mechanical lane gates and lane work to allow for increased efficiency of the inspection process as well as CBP officer safety. In addition, the project goal will be to design an all electric facility to include net zero ready.

Current status
The design of the renovations and alterations (R&A) project was recently awarded to Schwartz Silver Architects on October 19, 2023 to begin design services for the historic port of entry. The acquisition of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) contractor was awarded March 27, 2023 to WSP USA Solutions. The NEPA process is not anticipated to begin until spring of 2024.
