Requirements
To be considered for the FedRooms program, your property must meet the following criteria:
- FEMA Certified & ADA Compliant: Ensure your property meets and is current with these critical requirements.
- Competitive rates: Offer rates at or below per diem.
- Flexible cancellation policy: Provide a cancellation policy of at least 4 p.m. the day of arrival for domestic stays and at least 24 hours in advance for international stays.
- Quality standards: Maintain at least a 2-star rating (mid-range, economy property).
- No deposits or early departure fees.
- Complimentary internet: Offer free guest room internet.
- Booking compliance: Ensure the FedRooms rate is booked when requested via telephone.
- Terms and conditions: Comply with all other program terms and conditions.
Report and Remit requirements
- There is 2.25% participation fee in 2025.
- Monthly reporting: Submit room nights and revenue reports by the 20th of each month.
- Payment deadlines: Payments must be received within 30 days of invoice receipt.
- Central reporting: If your hotel does not report and remit centrally, provide monthly room night and revenue data.
