New Treasury Department Limit on GPC Usage
Effective October 1, 2020, the Department of Treasury is lowering its limit to $9,999.99 on use of the Government Purchase Cards (GPC) for intra-governmental transactions. This is a reduction from the current maximum of $24,999.99. Customers purchasing from either GSA Global Supply or GSA’s Retail Operations (aka 4PL) will be impacted by this new limit.
On or after October 1, customers needing items valued in excess of $9,999.99 cannot split the transaction between multiple cards. Retail customers should contact a GSA 4PL Store Manager to arrange for payment, in whole or in part, via Activity Address Code (AAC or DoDAAC). GSA Global Supply users can call GSA at 800-488-3111 to make similar arrangements.
Note that current or planned orders before September 30, particularly Referral Orders to be sent to a GSA store, that are valued over $9,999.99 must be shipped and billed before September 30 or they may be rejected. Customers with questions or concerns should speak with a store manager or contact NCSC by phone or email at NCSCcustomer.email@example.com.
Part Numbers now Available on FedMall
GSA Global Supply offers more than 800,000 items identified with part numbers for federal users worldwide, both military and civilian. After extensive collaboration with DLA, we're pleased to say that all of those GSA Global Supply part-numbered items are now visible and available for MILSTRIP ordering on the FedMall site. Enter a search term on the FedMall home page, or select the "GSA Global Supply" shopping corridor on the dropdown menu.
As noted below, many GSA part-numbered items include a standard prefix to help identify items and ensure smooth processing of customer orders.
2020 Supply Catalog
GSA Global Supply is pleased to present its 2020 Supply Catalog. It contains more than 7,500 items including office supplies (with many toner choices), tools, an expanded furniture selection, and much more. All items are available via simple requisitions through whatever ordering mechanism is best for you:

GSA Global Supply was recently designated by OMB as a Best-in-Class (BIC) government-wide acquisition solution. To achieve this designation, the program was evaluated against the following five major criteria outlined in the OMB's Category Management Guidance Document Version 1.0:
- Rigorous requirements definitions and planning processes;
- Appropriate pricing strategies;
- Data-driven demand management strategies;
- Category and performance management strategies; and
- Independently validated reviews.
Part of the review process involved demonstrating the potential savings to federal agencies, including direct cost comparisons as well as administrative saving that customers could realize by having GSA handle the administrative burden of procuring common commodities.
800,000 New Items
GSA Global Supply has dramatically expanded its product offering, with approximately 800,000 new items now available. These products are identified with part numbers instead of National Stock Numbers. Most will bear one of two standard prefixes, either FJSA for Janitorial-Sanitation (JanSan) products, or FMRA for Maintenance, Repair and Operating (MRO) supplies.
JanSan items include a wide spectrum of cleaning supplies, with the largest category made up of Non-Motorized Cleaning Equipment and Trash Receptacles. MRO includes a large number of:
- Hand tools;
- Power tools; and
- Tool bags.
- HVAC, and
- Industrial supplies.
The new products, like all items available from GSA Global Supply, are simple requisitions and require no comparison shopping for orders, even those above the micro-purchase threshold.
