Procedures for placing orders and establishing blanket purchase agreements against MAS contracts can be found in GSAR subpart 538.71 (GSA Class Deviation RFO-2025-FSS-GSAR 538 and RFO-2025-08). When you can place orders

You must place orders during the MAS contract’s period of performance. If you place an order during the POP but it’s not completed, the contractor must complete it by the time specified in the order according to FAR 52.216-22.

You can exercise options on orders beyond the ordering period of the MAS contract, including MAS contract option year periods. Look for fill-in language that provides for orders to extend up to 60 months beyond contract expiration according to FAR 52.216-22.

As much as possible, rely on MAS negotiated terms and conditions. You should review the terms and determine whether any further terms are necessary.
