Episode 2 - Technologists in Action

Episode 2 of GSA Does That!? continues the in-depth look at the Presidential Innovation Fellows program through a conversation with two current fellows. The episode features Scott Gorman, a technology entrepreneur and strategist, and Arunan Skandarajah, a global health technologist. Both serve as Presidential Innovations Fellows, or PIFs, at the Advanced Research Project Agency for Health, or ARPA-H.

In the last episode listeners learned that PIFs serve in a two-year fellowship that brings top technology talent together with senior federal agency leadership to tackle some of the government's toughest challenges.

This episode brings technology, health, and futurism together in one cohesive package. Throughout the interview, listeners gain a deeper understanding of the program, the PIF community, and why they should apply to become a PIF. Scott and Arunan went in-depth about how the program allows fellows to work on significant projects that make an enormous difference to the American public. A perfect example is their combined work at ARPA-H to make future health advancements   a reality faster.

If you're ready to make a difference, the application deadline for the PIF program is June 23rd. Visit PIF.gov to learn more about the program and how to apply.

Stay tuned for episode 3, where we'll switch it up and look at how GSA provides contracting opportunities to small businesses through our various contracting vehicles, like 8(a) STARS 3.
