About the Presidential Transition Directory
This website is designed to help candidates in the 2024 Presidential election get quick and easy access to key resources about the federal government structure and key policies related to Presidential Transition. The General Services Administration (GSA) is mandated by the Presidential Transition Act of 1963, as amended, to create and publish this directory no later than one year before each Presidential election.
Connecting resources from the General Services Administration, Office of Personnel Management, National Archives and Records Administration, U.S. Office of Government Ethics, and others, the site will assist future political appointees in gaining a deeper understanding of critical aspects of their roles, as well as important policies and facets of federal service.
The U.S. General Services Administration launched the 2024 Presidential Transition Directory on November 1, 2023. The Directory will be continuously updated as new information becomes available.
