Warranty
Most GSA Fleet vehicles are light-duty and come with a manufacturer’s bumper-to-bumper warranty for 36 months or 36,000 miles. This covers most repairs except normal wear items like tires, brakes, oil changes, filters, belts, bulbs, and wipers. Powertrain warranties, which cover major parts such as the engine and transmission, vary by manufacturer. Examples include:
- Ford: 5 years/60,000 miles (Police Interceptor: 5 years/100,000 miles)
- GM: 5 years/60,000 miles
- Hyundai/Kia: 10 years/100,000 miles
- Stellantis (Jeep, RAM, etc.): 5 years/60,000 miles
- Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Mercedes-Benz: 5 years/60,000 miles
- Mitsubishi: 10 years/100,000 miles

Customer and driver information
Get Help with Maintenance or Repairs
- Call the MCC: 866-400-0411, option 1
- When to call: any repair need, to request a tow, or find a local vendor
- What you’ll need: GSA license plate number, current mileage
- Repairs must be approved by MCC before any work begins
Finding a Repair Shop
- The MCC or your local Fleet Service Representative will recommend vendors based on your location
- We’re continually adding new vendors. If you have a recommendation, please share it when you contact GSA.
- The MCC tracks all vendor activity in GSAFleet.gov.
Paying for Repairs
- Under $100: Use fleet card
- All others: MCC must authorize and pays the vendor directly
- After repairs: vendor must call MCC during business hours to finalize and close out the service for payment
Oil Changes and Preventive Maintenance
- With Oil Life Sensor: Change when light comes on or once per year
- Without OLS: Change every 7,500 miles or once per year
- Visit GSAFleet.gov for specific details
Roadside Assistance & Flat Tires
- Use spare tire or inflator kit if safe
- Drive <50 miles and <50 mph on temporary tires
- Inflator kits cannot fix all flats
- Roadside assistance available through vehicle warranty
Free Maintenance Programs
- Some new vehicles include manufacturer-provided maintenance
- Refer to owner’s manual or reach out to your Fleet Service Representative for eligibility
Vendor information
If a GSA Fleet vehicle is in your shop, you must contact the MCC before performing service. Drivers are not authorized to approve these repairs. To obtain authorization, call the MCC at 866-400-0411, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.
Is This a GSA Fleet Vehicle?
- Check for a federal license plate beginning with “G”
- Verify the fleet service card has “GSA Fleet” and the plate number in the lower left corner
How Do I Get Repair Authorization?
- Call the MCC at 866-400-0411 (option 1) before:
- Any repair over $100
- Tire or battery replacements
- Be ready with:
- GSA license plate number
- Vehicle mileage
- Estimated cost of repair
How Is Payment Processed?
- Preferred method: WEX swipe where available
- Secondary option: Mastercard, ACH or Autopay through WEX, or merchant agreements
- If payment fails or you have billing issues, call the MCC with:
- GSA license plate
- Purchase order number
After-Hours Repairs
- The MCC number at 866-400-0411 will transfer you to our after hours provider
- Limited repairs can be approved up to $500
- GSA after-hours manager will assist as needed
I Don’t Know Who the Driver Is
- Call the MCC at 866-400-0411 to help locate and contact the assigned driver.
Want to Become a GSA Fleet Vendor?
- Contact your local servicing fleet office or email fleet.operations@gsa.gov
- Vendors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) to provide service over $15,000.
