About non-contract PN ordering
Defense Department ordering activities have increasingly submitted requisitions from standardized ordering systems for part numbers not listed on GSA websites.
Starting in fiscal year 2022, GSA established an in-house reverse auction system called Instaquote to automatically solicit, compete and award incoming requisitions.
As requisition volume grows, vendor participation has expanded. By February 2023, more than 35 active vendors were offering part number items across industrial product categories, including tools, hardware and maintenance or repair items. The list of offered items has grown to over 200,000 active quotes and continues to increase.

- Place your requisition with GSA using your in-house requisitioning system. For Army users, a guide [PDF - 872 KB] is made available to assist with establishing the ‘non-standard’ PN items in G Army. For other services, please follow your in-house procedures for requisitioning.
- Track your requisition after submitted just as you would any GSA requisition.
