Meet our Region 6 summer hires

Meet GSA's Region 6 summer interns for 2022:

Morgan Andersen

  • School: Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri
  • Hometown: Lee's Summit, Missouri
  • Studying: Accounting
  • Summer Position: PBS Program Support - Kansas City, Missouri Regional Office.

Andersen started working at GSA in June on PBS's Program Support team, providing a variety of functions for the team.

"Things that I've most enjoyed while working at GSA are the feeling of community and the relaxed environment," Andersen said. "Everyone is able to get their work done while willingly supporting one another."

She grew up in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and began attending Rockhurst University after graduating high school. She is on track to graduate in May 2024 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She will accomplish this in a three-year time period as opposed to the normal four years of undergraduate study.

She loves to read, crochet, cross-stitch, paint, and spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoys her dog, an Irish wolfhound named Kora.

In the future she wants to travel to Spain and Italy, and take a road trip across the U.S.

Emily Stratmoen

  • School: University of Nebraska - Lincoln
  • Hometown: Brookings, South Dakota
  • Studying: Criminology and Criminal Justice; minor National Security
  • Summer Position: PBS Program Support - Nebraska Field Office

"I've really enjoyed my time working with GSA," Stratmoen said. "Getting the opportunity to meet many different people has really been valuable to me. It's helped me further develop my personal and professional communication skills."

Stratmoen had the opportunity to work on a large electrical project for more than a month and felt a sense of accomplishment being a part of it.

Her hobbies include playing club sports, volunteering, and enjoying Greek life on the University of Nebraska campus.
