New Chattanooga Courthouse

The draft Finding of No Significant Impact and Environmental Assessment for the construction [PDF - 17 MB] and operation of the new courthouse is available for public review.  A hard copy is also available at the Chattanooga Public Library Downtown Branch, located at 1001 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402.

GSA awarded the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) contract on March 1, 2023 with the Notice to Proceed issued for the NEPA analysis on March 21. The contract was awarded to Potomac Hudson Engineering (PHE). The NEPA analysis will take approximately 9 - 10 months to complete. A Program of Requirements (POR) study will also be conducted for this project. GSA intends to contract with a construction manager as advisor (CMa) firm to conduct the POR study and anticipates issuing the request for proposals (RFP) to qualified CMa firms in the second quarter of the calendar year 2023.
