Customer success story
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers usage of GSA multiple award schedule for fuels systems maintenance
In 1980, the Defense Logistics Agency approached Huntsville Center to acquire contracts for creating operations and maintenance manuals for their Defense Energy Support Center Fuel Support Point (now the Defense Fuel Support Point) coastal fuel sites. Due to the success of this effort, in 2010 the agency requested Huntsville Center develop a recurring maintenance and service order program to maintain their capitalized fuel sites worldwide.
The fuels program, formerly the recurring maintenance and minor repair program, aims to provide preventive maintenance to preserve capital investment and corrective maintenance repairs with emergency response to sustain operational readiness of petroleum facilities. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Europe District has a similar program that covers eight European countries.
