BMO Training

The Building Maintenance and Operations (BMO) program offers training to its customer partners in a variety of formats:

  • In-person
  • Webinar
  • Conference call

BMO Overview and DPA Training

Federal agency personnel should attend this Overview and Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA) training to learn about the overall structure, features and benefits of the BMO program. Before issuing task orders using BMO, Federal Contracting Officers (COs) must complete training and receive a Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA). Training sessions last approximately 2 hours and some venues will offer Continuous Learning Points (CLPs).

Please note: The BMO solution is currently only available in Zone 1. Federal agency personnel outside of Zone 1 are welcome to participate, but the facility that they are contracting for must be within Zone 1 (until further Zones are awarded).

What does the training cover?

  • Basic Contract Information;
  • Scope;
  • Ordering Process;
  • Roles and responsibilities; and
  • Resources.

Who should attend?

  • Contracting Officers;
  • Contracting Officers Representatives (COTRs);
  • Federal Technical experts; and
  • Federal agency personnel that work with building maintenance contracts.

Each warranted Contracting Officer who takes the training will be issued a DPA and then authorized to use the BMO contract. Non-1102 personnel will receive CLPs but will not be granted a DPA.
